Firstly we must congratulate GRO sponsored road racer Brody Nowlan for his 2nd place finish in the 2009 MRRDA series. Brody was able to secure 2nd place in the championship without competing at the last round held at Phillip Island. Brody left the 2nd last round 43pts ahead and by finishing upright in the final round he would have surely taken out the championship.

Unfortunately, the double edge sword fell on his championship assault with Brody being selected for a Red bull test in Europe to be conducted on the same weekend, but here is the best part! GRO’s Brody Nowlan was the 1st of 7 riders picked out of the 39 best young riders in the world to join the 2010 Rookies Cup that supports 6 rounds of the Moto GP in 2010. Brody was one of the few that seemed to be able to follow the instruction given in the riders briefing ‘Don’t throw the bikes down the road’. Unlike other riders Brody tested with no practice on either the bike or track.

By the end of the timed sessions it was apparent Brody was getting very fast if not the fastest. The Nowlan family is very excited regarding the opportunity that Brody has earned himself. ‘The hard work is all ahead of us but hopefully with continued help from sponsors like Global Racing Oil we can head to Europe in April and expose some more Aussie talent’ stated Brody,s father Brian Nowlan .
